Palazzo Labus — Frescoes

Palazzo Labus, at corso Venezia 13–15, was built in the early nineteenth century to a design by Marcellino Segré, a pupil of Giuseppe Piermarini, and keeps on its façades the marks of the Five Days of 1848. After a decade of restoration the palazzo reopened in 2015 as the home of Dolce&Gabbana’s Alta Sartoria, with frescoes, decorated ceilings, damask walls and Baroque friezes.

Since 2012 RIVA has been working in the palazzo in collaboration with Dolce&Gabbana: the restoration of the interior frescoes, carried out with non-invasive techniques and enhancing the original colours, and the restoration of the façades and of the roofs in antique tiles.

The intervention is documented in the «Video documentario Palazzo Labus» on the company’s channel.
