Palazzo Sessa
Palazzo Sessa, between piazza Cavour, via Turati and via Manin, was built in the nineteenth century to a design by Enrico Terzaghi in an eclectic style. The rich decoration is concentrated on the main façade: two pairs of monumental caryatids and telamons at the rounded corners of the first floor, floral motifs and wrought iron. In 1936 Giancarlo Palanti raised the building by one floor.
Between 2021 and 2022 the façades underwent a conservative restoration in which RIVA took part: cleaning and consolidation of the stone and stucco elements, recovery of the caryatids and new colouring of the surfaces.
In 2024 the crowning of the palazzo regained a sculptural frieze, replacing the one removed during the raising.
