Berzieri Thermal Baths
The Palazzo delle Terme Berzieri in Salsomaggiore Terme, built between 1914 and 1923 to a design by Ugo Giusti with Galileo Chini and Giulio Bernardini and inaugurated on 27 May 1923, is the masterpiece of Italian thermal Art Nouveau and Art Déco: red Verona, Botticino, Carrara and yellow Siena marbles, ceramics from the Fornaci Chini, frescoes by Giuseppe Moroni with the goddess Hygieia, stained glass and wrought iron from the workshop of Antonio Veronesi.
Between 2023 and December 2025 the complex underwent a complete requalification promoted by CDP Real Asset with QC Terme. In 2024 RIVA took part in the site with the conservative restoration of the complex’s decorated surfaces.
The palazzo reopened to the public on 19 December 2025.
